With BusinessObjects XI 3.1, customers will find many improvements to BusinessObjects Enterprise, our BI platform, including easier information sharing and support for all users inside and outside their organization.

For this release, BusinessObjects Enterprise offers several areas of improvements:

  • Improved Microsoft integration for all organizations relying on Microsoft technologies for their IT infrastructure
  • Integration-ready with different Oracle applications and systems—including Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Siebel—to extend the reach of BI to all users
  • A new life-cycle management application to manage the promotions of BI content between environments. This application, appearing as one of the central management console tabs, simplifies BI content management throughout its typical life cycle (development, testing, and production).
